Stephen B. Dobranski is an author and scholar who specializes in literature and the history of the book. Much of his research has focused on John Milton and early modern writing and culture.
Stephen has also written extensively on how early printing practices—the material creation of texts—influence poetic meaning.
He is interested more generally in reading literature imaginatively, using our twenty-first-century experiences to shed light on works from other periods and, in turn, discovering insights in past literary works that help us think about and articulate issues and concerns in our contemporary culture.
